Housing

Plymouth Church Neighborhood Foundation offers housing that meets a variety of community needs.

  • Our housing developments serve low-income people, helping them to become socially and economically more stable.
  • Since our incorporation in 1999 we have created or preserved 433 units of housing, a mix of multi-unit apartment buildings, townhomes and single family homes. Of those, 260 are supportive housing, meaning that we contract with community agencies to provide onsite services targeted to the needs of tenants.
  • We have properties dedicated to families, single adults, youth and seniors.

Affordable housing

Housing affordability is widely defined as costing 30 percent or less of someone's monthly budget, allowing most families to afford other basic necessities such as food, clothing and transportation. Many lower income individuals pay between 50 percent and 80 percent of their income for rent for substandard housing. Many of our residents make less than $20,000 a year.

Supportive housing

Several of our buildings offer high quality housing plus supportive services targeted to meet the needs of those who have been homeless or at risk of homelessness to maintain their housing and increase their economic well-being.

Our housing represents significant financial investment in the community.

    • Our housing has been the catalyst for investment of $58 million.
    • Today we have 167 units in development at six sites. We are seeking financing of approximately $20 million to complete these developments.
