Our congregational partners
Since our founding in 1999 by members and clergy of Plymouth Congregational Church we have continued to form fruitful partnerships with congregations of various faith traditions.
Key congregational partnership initiatives include:
- Housing 150 Initiative with Westminster Presbyterian Church and Plymouth Church, resulting in Nicollet Square (2010) and Abbott View.
- Creekside Commons partnership with Mayflower Congregational Church, resulting in Creekside Commons (2010).
- Deep Roots, New Branches Initiative with Lake Nokomis Lutheran Church and Minnehaha United Methodist Church resulting in Riverview Apartments (groundbreaking 2011).
Through these partnerships, congregations have committed $1.5 million in cash and land for housing development that would not otherwise have been available.
Our work in progress includes:
- St. Paul youth housing with House of Hope Presbyterian Church
- Emerson North with a North Minneapolis-based interfaith task force including Church of the Ascension, Masjid An-Nur, Shiloh Temple, and Greater Mt. Vernon Missionary Baptist Church and Families Moving Forward congregations.
